From residual product to energy

Smart use of wood residues

Each year our wood processing generates around 10,000 tonnes of wood residues. Where this residual wood used to be burned solely for internal heating, we have developed the process further. Since 1997 our bio-CHP installation has run on our own residual wood and biomass. The plant has now clocked more than 200,000 operating hours.

The heat released in the process is used for drying wood, heating buildings and various production processes.
